What is Client Sense?
Client Sense is a 'who knows who' system, designed to provide you with information about the relationships your firm holds. Most importantly, it does all this without needing the lawyers (or accountants) across your firm to update a CRM system or manage spreadsheets.
Client Sense is referred to as an ERM (Enterprise Relationship Management) system, which means it provides both Relationship Mapping (to understand who knows who) and Email Signature Analysis (to understand Contact Details such as Titles, Addresses and Telephone numbers).
How Does it Work?
Client Sense connects directly into your firm's Microsoft email and calendar systems. The system continuously collects and updates data to give you insights into all the individuals connected with your firm, including when your last interaction occurred, who initiated the contact, and more.
Client Sense stands out as a dynamic and constantly updated database of contacts, eliminating the need for your lawyers to manually input data. This sets it apart from traditional CRM systems or manual databases.
How can Client Sense Help Me?
As a result of having real-time and accurate information available to you, there are a range of ways in which Client Sense can help you. Here are some key ways in which Client Sense can assist you, tailored to your specific role:
Business Development
- Cross Servicing (identifying clients known to one practice group but not another)
- Pitching and Proposals (identify existing connections that might be able to support your pitch)
- Access to upcoming or prior meetings held with a prospective client
Marketing
- Updating Marketing lists (within Client Sense and within a connected system such as a CRM or Email Marketing system)
- Easily import, clean and de-duplicate existing lists (random lists and excel documents can be quickly and easily checked to confirm that those Contacts are both up-to-date and active)
- Segmenting Marketing lists (segment by Title, Location, Groups Know, Partners Know, Fees and Industry, with no manual effort)
- Easily extract Holiday or Contact lists (per group, per Partner or firm wide)
- Generate event lists (using Titles, Locations, Practice Groups known, Industry and last contact)
- Monitor events for post-event engagement (assess the effectiveness of the events your firm runs)
Client Teams
- Generating and using Heat Maps
- Assessing Client Engagement
- Flag and monitor to ensure contact is maintained with key individuals
Management, HR and Recruitment
- Identifying potential lateral hires
- Integrating lateral hires
- Addressing internal staff changes
How do I Access Client Sense
To be able to access Client Sense, you will need to confirm with your IT team that you have been added to the Active Directory group, which is usually called 'Client Sense User Group'.
There is no separate username and password for Client Sense. You will either be able to access the system without a username and password (because you are trusted on your local network), or you will use your existing Microsoft 365 credentials to login.
The link to access Client Sense is usually accessible by entering http://clientsense into your browser when connected to the firm's network, however we suggest you check with your IT team.
